As the sun sets over Miami Beach, painting the sky a vivid orange, Tom Harper hears a new ghost sighting report. Beside him is his curious neighbor, Lisa Martin, eager to join him on his adventure.
“Tom, where’s this ghost supposed to appear?” Lisa asks, scanning the beach.
“Rumor has it, under the old pier,” Tom replies, his voice trembling a bit. Despite his fear, he is driven by his mission as a ghost hunter.
The two walk toward the pier. The sound of the waves is eerie, and the dim light under the pier feels like another world. Suddenly, Lisa shouts.
“Look, Tom! There’s something over there!”
She points to a glowing figure. Tom approaches cautiously, his voice shaking.
“A-are you a ghost?”
The figure moves towards Tom, then bursts into laughter.
“Ha ha ha, you two, humans? I’m just a beach ball!”
Upon closer inspection, it is indeed an old beach ball, lit by the setting sun in a way that made it look like a figure. Tom sighs in relief, and Lisa can’t help but laugh.
“Tom, this is your ghostly ruckus!” Lisa says, clutching her stomach in laughter.
Just then, a cold wind blows from behind, and they both turn around at the same time. This time, a real ghost stands before them. The figure of an old woman, half-transparent, with sad eyes.
“I am the guardian of this beach. If you fix the pier, I can rest in peace,” the ghost says gently.
Tom, still shaking, musters up the courage to respond. “O-okay! We’ll fix it, don’t worry!”
Lisa and Tom join hands, and with the help of local people, they repair the pier. As a result, the ghost smiles and vanishes, and Miami Beach returns to its peaceful state.
Afterwards, Tom’s reputation as a ghost hunter grows, and he prepares for the next adventure with Lisa.
